Wisconsin Converting Inc. (WCI) was founded in 1987 when John C. Brogan purchased, from Thilmany Pulp & Paper, a 70-year-old bag converting operation that took locally created paper and converted it into paper packaging for retail and industrial uses. As a manufacturer, WCI sells exclusively through a growing list of over 1,400 packaging distributors across North America. The WCI manufacturing facility, located in Green Bay, Wisconsin, houses machines for paper bag manufacturing, equipped with in-line flexographic printing capabilities, as well as post-printing, hot stamping, sheer cutting, paper slitting and rewinding machines to provide a wide array of services to our growing list of customers across North America.
WCI plays a unique and important role in the packaging industry by supplying short and medium-run packaging products to a wide variety of businesses. We custom print bags with one-case minimums for small retailers that would otherwise not enjoy having personalized packaging products. We are proud to offer a complete line of stock and printed bags including Merchandise bags, SOS bags, Gourmet Bags, and Sani-Liner® trash can liners. WCI also manufactures Eco-Shipper® and Eco-Natural® shipping bags as economically and environmentally sensitive alternatives to corrugated boxes or padded and poly mailers.
We are dedicated to protecting and preserving the environment by utilizing responsible purchasing practices, lean manufacturing processes, and working towards a paperless office environment. Our founder was honored with an environmental award named in his honor by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
WCI pledges to continue striving to provide excellent customer service by continuously improving our workforce and our products to address your needs now and in the future. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with you!
